  9. In 1968, Johnny set a record for catchers, 
  10. with 40 doubles, and became the first catcher 
  11. to win the National League Rookie of the 
  12. Year award. Two years later, Johnny was 
  13. named MVP after leading the league with 45 
  14. homers and 148 runs batted in. He also led 
  15. the Reds to the pennant.

  17. Before he retired in 1983, Johnny had hit 
  18. 389 home runs and led the league in
